Quartzite

Quartzite is 100% natural stone, made almost entirely of quartz minerals. It is usually white or the light color of quartz sand, sometimes with hues of green, blue or iron-red from additional minerals in the groundwater.

Quartzite, like granite, is resistant to heat and scratches and it comes in a range of porosities. Some have been highly metamorphosed, which means the minerals are bonded tightly together. While others are more porous because they've been exposed to less intense pressure, so they will benefit from sealing from our expert staff. Quartzite often has a similar appearance to marble but can be a higher price point due to its hardness.
